First time mum Daksha contacted me halfway through her pregnancy to arrange forest maternity photos. She was nervous about booking a maternity photoshoot as she “does not do her hair or wear any makeup”. She said she liked that I showed “normal” people on my website and asked if I would photograph her without makeup. I assured her I would absolutely love to and that my priority is always to do everything to try and help my clients be themselves and to be comfortable in front of the camera. Daksha loved my signature locations with the enormous Australian gum trees and said she was more than happy to travel the 70km across the city to me. After a reschedule due to unseasonal late Spring rains we captured these images at the very end of November as she hit 37 weeks gestation with their baby boy. These forest maternity photos were an absolute joy to capture.
